There is a fascinating TED presentation by facial surgeon Ian Hutchison that includes a slideshow with paintings by a Mark Gilbert that you can see HERE. Be aware that, as well as Gilberts paintings there are some potentially disturbing and graphic photographic images.

You can visit Mark Gilbert's website HERE.

Commitment to studio etiquette
Arrival
5 - 15 minutes prior to session to allow for set-up and prevent shuffling already prepared artists. Th e studio is open 15 minutes prior to the session beginning, arrival prior to this 15 minutes may mean a wait outside.
Depart
during breaks only if leaving early.
Care and respect
for the walls, cabinets and trim. The gallery is open every afternoon and needs to be in good condition for the public.

Optional
Treats during the break are very appreciated. If you would like to share your art sensitive music, bring it along and we'll give it a try.

If you know of someone who wants to do life drawing, please feel free to give them my email address.

I am also planning a life drawing session (lightly clothed) for high school students who wish to become comfortable drawing the human form. If you know someone who might be interested, please give them my email address. I already have a couple of students on the waitlist.

Thank you, hope to hear from you soon.
